Caring for your hand dyed yarn
Baah yarns are rinsed post-dyeing in a natural, biodegradable and non-perfumed detergent and water. Some residual dye particles may remain, particularly where darker colours are concerned. Skeins are dried naturally, and stored in sealed containers until shipping occurs.
Professional acid dyes are used in the dyeing process, together with a mordant. Yarns are dyed in small batches ensuring that each skein is carefully and attentively created.
Yarn will be labeled with fiber content, yardage, grams and weight(thickness).
Product listings will, also, include if the yarn is superwash or non-superwash. Care for yarn varies between the two. Please read below for proper care:
Superwash Yarns + Fibres: For long term care, a gentle detergent (preferably natural / organic) and cold water rinse is recommended. Machine washable on a gentle cool wash. Refrain from excessive wringing. Dry flat, avoiding prolonged exposure to harsh sunlight.
Non–superwash Yarns + Fibres: Non-superwash yarn is, typically, easily feltable. For proper long term care, a gently hand wash with cold water is recommended. Gently squeeze out excess water, avoid wringing.
Caring for your Project Bags + Fabric Buckets
Our fabric buckets + project bags are handmade from 100% hand printed cotton material. Each print is heat fixed and washed to check for colour fastness. To keep your fabric buckets and project bags looking like new, please use a gentle detergent and a cold water wash.
